Color Inspiration #51

This card this week was great. At first I was like what am I going to do with this. So thought I would do something out of my comfort zone and did a shape card. It is a flower and then a bunch of flowers on the front. I cut the big flower out with my Cricut. Stamped with versa mark and then heat embossed the Happy Birthday. I did that in a clear embossing powder. Put a white circle for the center of the flower. Stamped some flowers on cardstock and pattern paper and cut those out. Added some brown and white ribbon. I did some stitching around the edge of the card with my white gekl pen. I attached the two big flowers with a brown brad. So now the card can be pulled to the side and up to see the message inside.

Color Inspiration # 50

I had to wait until till the 50th challenge to post mine. I keep wanting to enter a challenge but I look at everyone's posting and I'm like no way they are to good. But I did it this time.I am new to this thing but I am learning as I go. I want to say congratulations to Kristina for coming up with 50 challenges so far. She gives us a lot of her time so thanks Kristina.

Well this is the card I came up with. I have a scallop punch from fiskas and I have not really used it in many projects so I thought why not. I just layered them color on top of color. I stamped some flowers with brown ink and colored them in with color pencils and used gamsol to bring out the color. Pop dotted the flowers. Added a brown ribbon and tied it in a bow. Stamped the sentiment and it says "Gratitude is an action word". Added some stickels and that is about it.

Make A Wish!

This card was inspired from Kristina Werner, from her Two Peas in a Bucket class. I love everything that she does. I am always on her blog hoping that she has posted something new. I went and looked at all of the old stuff to and I have looked at all of the videos.I don't remember how I found her probably from youtube. I just really like her page she does a lot of videos. I am a visual person and I need to see the demonstration and just not read how to do it . Ok well maybe I will stop talking about her I am not a stalker. I just like her work. This is a birthday card but I didn't really want it to be so birthday so no cake and candels or anything just one cute owl.

Thankful for Friends

This is one of the cards I did for my Pink n Black collection. It is a pink card with black and white pattern paper. I just love the colors together. The flower is actually from a bundle of flowers that I got at the dollar store. Who knew you could find some good stuff at the dollar store that you could use in scrapbooking and card making. I am so thankful for the friends that are in my life. I miss all of them so much. I do know that I will always have them with me know matter where I am. They are alway a phone call away or I can log on to my facebook or I can skpe them. I just love technology. I don't know what I would do with out the things that we have now.

Birthday Card For Lauren

I made this card for my niece who turned one yesterday. It is from my Pink n Black collection. I was not there to be at her 1st birthday. Her mom told me a funny thing that she did. It was time for everyone to eat birthday cake. She blew out the candel and then she had her piece. Her dad was sitting next to her with his three pieces of cake. Well she was done with hers and she wanted more so she reached over and took one of his off of his plate and put it in her mouth so fast. She had to be quick so no one would take if from her. So cute that one. Those are the things that I wish I did not have to miss but that is just the way it is right? I wish someone got that on video but no one did.
